Senior Tour News:  05/05/2008

Item:  The final leaderboard at Bridlewood is posted  Congrats to BigB47 and Stushu for the wins.  Next up is The Regions Charity Classic and we will be playing at TPC @ Blackhawk.  Course D/L link and conditions posted below.  Good Luck to everyone.

Item:  I have left the news item below this for all tour members to PLEASE read and PLEASE pass along to those who have not been playing lately.  I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL!!!!!   So far I have heard from only 3 members on this matter.  PLEASE help me out here. Thanks!!!!

Item:  We had a combined (both divisions) 12 players.  It is very discouraging to say the least.  Is it internet connection problems, lack of interest, choice of courses, or something else that is causing the participation to dwindle?  One thought I had is the amount of different winners of lack of different winners, especially in the regular division that could be causing lack in players.  The only way I know of to remedy that would be to implement some kind of a handicap system, possibly the handicap that is configured in the game itself.  When scores are reported it would be up to each player to include their current handicap.  I would then take the lowest handicap  for the reported scores and award that a 0.  the next would be a 1 and so on.  each player would then have that number taken off their score, lowering it.  It would sure even up the field.  So what I am asking is for everyone's opinion and suggestions to help this tour, boost the participation, and keep this tour going.  Please e-mail me ASAP (please everyone e-mail your thoughts and spread the word to all active and inactive members to do the same).  5 players for round one is very discouraging.

Item: Quick Reminder-the tour e-mail address is theseniortour@verizon.net

Item:  The rules page has been updated with details for the Super Seniors Division (see rule #11).  Also a post with those details has been posted at the Senior Tour forum.
